Yinqi Gao, age 86, of Acton, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 in Care One at Concord, with his family by his side. Mr. Gao was born in Hebei, China on May 19, 1931. He had a long and successful career in the Railway Bureau. After his retirement, he and his wife moved abroad to be closer to family in 1993. Throughout his life, he also enjoyed chess, fine art, gardening, and calligraphy. In addition, Mr. Gao has always been a scientist at heart. He loved learning and could often be found teaching his grandchildren how the world works. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Shuhua Wang, one daughter, Gail Gao and her husband Xinfa Ma, three grandchildren, Susan, Kevin, and Julia Ma, as well as several extended family members and friends. Relatives and friends gathered for a private service on April 24, 2018 in the Farrar Chapel of the Dee Funeral Home. He has donated his body to Harvard Medical School in order to support medical research and the study of medicine. His final wish was to make a contribution to improve human life. The burial and celebration of life will occur within the next 24 months when Mr. Gao's cremated remains are returned. Arrangements are under the care of Dee Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Concord. 高荫歧先生于二零一八年四月二十四日上午九时五十五分在Careone at Concord 疗养院在家属的陪伴下安详病逝,享年八十六岁。高先生在生命的最后时刻听到了福音,愿其灵魂与上帝同在。按照高先生的生前遗嘱,他的遗体捐献给哈佛大学医学院做医学教学和研究。 高荫歧先生于一九三一年五月十九日出生在中国河北省丰南县。他的前半生随社会动荡变迁,后半生则顺利幸福。他长期在铁道部北京铁路局工作。退休后,和妻子一起搬到国外和女儿同住。 高先生一生乐观,正直,爱家庭,爱生活,爱孩子。高先生也喜欢艺术,棋类,花草和书法。 高先生的妻子王树花,和女儿高惠琴,女婿马新发,孙子女马潇,马浩,马泓以及亲朋好友将永远怀念他 为满足哈佛大学医学院的时间要求,遗体告别仪式在四月二十四日晚上七点至九点Dee Funeral Home, Concord举行,家属和亲朋好友参加了告别仪式。高先生的安葬和追思仪式将在两年后骨灰从哈佛大学医学院返回时举行。 愿高先生与上帝同在,一路走好!
