William Stephen Monsen, of Acton, died at home on January 17, 2024, at the age of 59.

Bill was born in Concord on January 7, 1965. He graduated from Acton-Boxborough Regional High School with the class of 1983. He enjoyed skiing and playing hockey in his younger years. During high school, Bill hosted a radio show on WHAB that was popular among his peers. Bill went on to receive a communications degree from Mount Wachusett Community College. It was there that he continued to nurture his love for broadcasting and entertainment by working closely with the school's radio studio and sound stage, often playing an integral role in setting up for live performances.

After college, Bill studied hard to earn his Electrician's license. He was skilled in his trade, and brought passion to every project. He volunteered to travel around the country for years at a time working on the Fisher Houses for military service members and veterans.

Bill will also be remembered as an amateur history buff who took special interest and pride in his Scottish and Norwegian heritage. He enjoyed golfing and watching football with family. Bill was kind, gentle and selfless. Above all, his greatest accomplishment was being a beloved father.

He leaves behind his daughter, Anastasia Monsen, his son, Andrew Loeffler, his father, William N. Monsen, his sister, Linda Monsen and his close cousins, Jenny, Neil and Dan Spurr. He was preceded in death by his mother, Helen Monsen.

Family and friends will gather for a period of visitation on Monday, February 12th from 10 to 11 am, concluding with a memorial service at 11 am in the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, Concord Center.
