William Brian McNamara, age 57, son of the late Frank L. and Kathryn M. McNamara, formerly of Concord, died this morning at the St. Francis Home in Worcester following a long illness. He was graduated from Tabor Academy and Norwich University, and worked in construction and property management,first with Turner Construction, later at the Mt. Wachusett Mountain, and finally for the Boylston Development Corporation. He was an avid golfer and sailor,and was formerly a member of the Concord Country Club. He will be remembered for his cheerfulness and perseverance in the face of extreme adversity. He is survived by his four siblings, Joan M. Crowley of Worcester, M. Kathryn Winstanley of Lenox, Thomas F. McNamara of Concord, and Frank L. McNamara, Jr. of Bolton. Visitation will be at the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, Concord Center from 12 noon to 12:45 p.m. on Thursday, December 23rd. A Funeral Mass will be said at Holy Family Church in Concord on Thursday, December 23 at 1:00 P.M. Interment will follow in the family burial plot in Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, Bedford Street, Concord, Massachusetts. In place of flowers, contributions should be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, 101A First Avenue, Waltham, MA 02451.
