William "Bill" Kanzer, age 62, of Lincoln, MA, died on August 9, 2022 from post-surgery complications.
Bill was a loving husband, devoted father and close, supportive friend to so many in his life.
The middle of three brothers, Bill was born on February 10, 1960, grew up in Weston, MA, and went on to become an accomplished mechanical engineer, specializing in solar energy, after earning degrees from Northeastern University (BSE) and Boston College (MBA).
His mechanical abilities started early. As a young boy he was dubbed, "Billy Builder" by his late father, Len Kanzer (Brooklyn, NY), as he was driven by an insatiable need to determine how things worked.
His curiosity, warmth, and energy gained him many lifelong friends at Weston High School (1978) where he excelled in drama, singing, and soccer.

Bill Kanzer is survived by wife, Linda Cordner of Lincoln, MA; daughter, Sydney Kanzer of Lincoln, MA; daughter, Leah Kanzer of Washington, DC; brother Dave Kanzer and fiancé Martha Moore of Glenwood Springs, CO; brother Rob Kanzer, and life partner, Colleen Sgroi of Lowell, MA; stepmother, Lorna Reese, Lopez Island, WA; nephews, Abram Kanzer, Jaymin Kanzer, Kai Kanzer, Dave Sgroi, Joe Sgroi, Nathan Moore; nieces, Rachel Kanzer, Faith Sgroi, Johanna Sgroi, Sarah Taub; great niece, Avery Kanzer.
