William L. Brennan, 87, a longtime Lincoln resident, died peacefully on Friday, April 24th at his Lincoln residence surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband for 58 years of Eleanor A. (Bicchieri) Brennan.
Mr. Brennan was born in Waltham, MA in 1928 and attended Waltham schools before enlisting in the USMC in the second World War.
After being honorably discharged in 1947, Mr. Brennan finished his education at Newman Preparatory School and the University of Note Dame.
He went to work for Alcoa in the early 1950's, attaining the level of National Sales Manager of their Westmorland Sterling division.
Mr. Brennan then started his own company in 1968, designing and manufacturing sterling silver and precious metal products. He ran this business successfully until he became ill in 2013.
He was a member of the Nashawtuc Country Club from the mid 1960's until 2014, having been in charge of the tennis finance committee, as well as serving on the social committee and the house committee. Mr. Brennan was also a member of the Normbega Norwegian-American Lodge.
A Lincoln resident since 1956, Mr. Brennan was involved with the Lincoln Little League, and the Cub and Boy Scouts. He was also a member of St. Joseph's Parish in Lincoln, MA and was involved in many local activities.
He loved his hometown of Lincoln and will be sincerely missed by many friends, relatives, and neighbors.
In addition to his wife, Eleanor, he is survived by his son, William Lawrence Brennan, Jr. of Lincoln, his daughter, LeeAnn Brennan Moalli and her husband Robert Moalli, Jr. of Bolton, his grandson, William Robert Moalli of Bolton, his sister, Erna Nethercote of Walpole, his sisters-in-law, Ann Schandelmayer of Florida, Elsie Beausoleil of Marlborough, Josephine Carlson of Yarmouth, and Louise Ferla and her husband Robert of Florida, his brother-in-law, Ralph Bicchieri and his wife Carol of Yarmouth, and several nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday, May 1st from 4 to 8 pm in the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, Concord Center.
Funeral will be held on Saturday, May 2nd at 8:45 am from the Dee Funeral Home followed by a funeral Mass at 10 am in St. Joseph's Church, 142 Lincoln Road, Lincoln.
Burial will follow in Lincoln Cemetery where officers of the United States Marine Corps will present military honors.
Following the interment in Lincoln Cemetery, the family of William Brennan cordially invites you to join them for a reception at the Nashawtuc Country Club, 1861 Sudbury Road, Concord, Massachusetts.
