Veronica "Vera" Jane (Loughman) Hennessy of Concord, passed away peacefully on February 26, 2018. She was the wife of the late Robert Hennessy and loving mother to Robert (Sandie) Hennessy of Concord, Gregory (Nancy) of Pepperell, Veronica (Jack) Crognale, of Edgartown, Elizabeth (J. William) Kenney of Concord, Mark (Lori) Hennessy of Plymouth, Peter (Kim) Hennessy of Lancaster and Andrea (Ken) Grant of Marshfield; the grandmother to Rob, Megan, Brendan, Mark, Michael, Patrick, Jacqueline, Katie, Lauren, Olivia and Annie; great-grandmother of Audrey and Tommy; sister of Terese Forrest of York Harbor, ME, sister-in-law of Patricia Harvey. Vera left behind many nieces and nephews and friends. Vera was born and raised in Jamaica Plain, MA. In 1953 her home became 198 Southfield Road Concord where Vera and Bob gave their children a childhood not to be forgotten and created life long friendships. Vera's life long devotion to her faith was fulfilled at St. Bernard's Parish where she sang in the choir and volunteered when ever needed. Her graceful demeanor and selflessness was epitomized by what she gave to others. Fiercely devoted and forever loyal to her family, faith and friends, Vera lived life with optimism and saw the best in everyone she met. Family and friends will gather for visiting hours on Thursday, March 1st from 3 to 7 pm in the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, Concord Center. The funeral will be held on Friday, March 2nd at 9 am from the Dee Funeral Home, followed by a funeral Mass at 10 am in Holy Family Parish, Monument Square, Concord Center. Burial will follow at St. Bernard's Cemetery in Concord. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the MinutemanARC, 35 Forest Ridge Road, Concord, MA 01742 (www.minutemanarc.org). Arrangements are under the care of the Dee Funeral Home of Concord.
