Tyler Buttrick Berrier, 63, of Acton, passed away suddenly at Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington on August 24, 2022. He was the loving husband for 29 years of Suzanne P. (Grogan) Berrier. They were married in 1993 at South Acton Congregational Church.
He was born in Danbury, CT on January 14, 1959 to his late parents, William Emerson Berrier and Joan (Buttrick) Berrier.
Tyler lived at 60 School Street in Acton for 57 years. He attended Acton Public Schools and then graduated with honors from Wentworth. He had fond memories of times spent in Concord with his relatives enjoying picnics and walks along the Concord River. He also looked forward to summers on Long Island, where he enjoyed fishing, and clamming. Tyler loved animals and nature. When he was young he had dogs, cats, a pet blue jay!, mallards…and many more. He cherished long lasting friendships from childhood. Many new friendships developed through common hobbies and interests. Once a friend, always a friend!
Tyler began his career as a project manager in commercial construction. He was especially proud of his contribution to the construction of the Cambridge Marriott. He then started his own business, Concept Builders. Tyler specialized in the renovation of historical houses in Acton, Concord and Carlisle. He most recently worked at Ace Hardware where he took pride in small engine repair and managed properties in Acton.
He loved his motorcycles, going to Kelly Pond in Dennis on the Cape, and spending quality time with friends and family. He took great delight in the birth of his twin sons, William and Daniel, in 1998. Tyler cherished being involved in both of his sons' lives, rarely missing one of their hockey games. He also enjoyed time with his beloved pets: Max, Jack, Paige, and Rosie.
In addition to his wife, Suzanne, he will be forever missed by his sons, William Emerson Berrier of Lake Tahoe, CA and Daniel Buttrick Berrier of Coronado, CA, his sister, Senneth Berrier of Acton, as well as many nieces and nephews.
A private memorial service will be held at the Dee Funeral Home in Concord.
