Truman "Hank" Wadsworth Read III, passed away suddenly August 29, 2017. Truman is survived by his best friend and wife of nearly 47 years, Maureen Carrigan Read, his two sons, Jonathan B. Read of Concord, MA and Patrick K. Read and his wife Jessica M. Read of Lunenburg, MA. He is also survived by two grandchildren, Olivia Read and Bodie Hoaglund, both of Lunenburg, MA, two siblings, Sara Timmons of NH and Bok Read and his wife Karla of PA as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. Truman was born to Truman and Margaret Read September 23, 1947 in Chester, Pennsylvania. After graduating from Northeastern University, he enjoyed a long and vibrant career as a Respiratory Therapist at Brigham & Women's Hospital. Super nomadic, a backroad classic, Truman "Hank" seized opportunities to live his life to the fullest. He met JFK, saw Martin Luther King Speak in Washington, heard James Brown at the Apollo Theater, and of course, arrived early and stayed late at Woodstock. An avid skier, hiker, and camper he enjoyed the lakes of Maine and reached the peak of virtually every mountain in New England. Hank was many things as he impacted those around him in countless ways. Husband, Father, Brother, Grandfather, Friend, Coach, Teacher. He will be missed. A service in his name will be held at the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, Concord, MA on Saturday, September 2nd from 2 to 5 pm.
