Trudy M. (Monahan) Haynes, age 82, of Chelmsford, died peacefully on Monday, December 24, 2018 at Care Dimensions Hospice House in Lincoln. She was the wife for 56 years of the late George A. Haynes who died in 2015. Born in Waltham on August 22, 1936, she was the daughter of the late John and Anne (Walsh) Monahan, who emigrated from County Clare, Ireland. For over twenty years, Trudy was the Unit Coordinator at Emerson Hospital in Concord. She leaves behind three children, Maureen A. Haynes of Uxbridge, Michael J. Haynes of Fitchburg, and Anne Marie Haynes of Newburyport, her brother, John R. Monahan and his wife Gail Green of Bedford, and many nieces and nephews. Trudy was predeceased by her sister, Nancy Fox. Her family will gather privately for a funeral service in the Concord Chapel of the Dee Funeral Home, followed by burial at St. Bernard's Cemetery in Concord. In lieu of flowers, donations in Trudy's memory may be made to the American Diabetes Association (www.diabetes.org). Arrangements are under the care of Dee Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Concord.
