Obituary

On the morning of Tuesday, August 30th, 2016, Travis Alan Manchuso suddenly passed away at Good Samaritan Hospital in Brockton, Massachusetts after suffering a tragic seizure. He was the beloved husband of Michelle Manchuso and cherished Papa of Jailyn, Juliana, Aimee, and Lacey, all of Randolph. He was the devoted son of Todd and Karen Manchuso of Concord. Travis was raised in Concord, Massachusetts. Growing up he spent a great deal of time volunteering at the Food Project in Lincoln, and Rosie's Place in Boston as he loved working in the garden and helping those in need. He was always active and outside on his mountain bike, and would take off for the day with his friend Andy. Travis joined the United States Army in 2002, just after the tragic events of 9/11 as he wanted nothing more than to serve his country. While serving with the US Army Travis spent years in Columbia fighting the war on drugs, and most recently served overseas as a Sergeant in Kosovo. He spent his free time at the range; was an expert sharp shooter, and loved taking his dad and sisters to the range with him. Travis loved his career in the Army as well as his family. He was a loved son, and older brother. He loved his wife, and family in Randolph. Travis was survived by loved nieces, a nephew who wanted to grow up to be like his Uncle Travy, and many cousins. Travis will be sorely missed by so many. He was the loving brother of Tia Manchuso and her husband Robert Musto of Concord and Trista Manchuso of Concord, fond grandson of Joseph Manchuso of Maynard and the late Marilyn Lawrence, and Pearl Vachon of New Hampshire, adored son-in-law of Joel and Elly Lampner of Randolph, and devoted uncle of Lily, William, and Eleanor, all of Concord. Visiting hours are on Saturday, September 3rd from 2 to 6 pm in the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, Concord Center. Private burial is at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery in Concord, where Officers of the United States Army will render military honors. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to Rosie's Place, 889 Harrison Ave., Boston, MA 02118 or to the Green Beret Foundation, 14402 Blanco Road, Suite 101, San Antonio, TX 78216 (www.greenberetfoundation.org). Arrangements are under the care of the Dee Funeral Home of Concord.
