Thomas E. Richmond, a lifelong Concord resident, died on Friday, December 14, 2018. He was 68.
He was born in Concord on November 11, 1950, as the son of the late Edward Richmond and Cora (Flannery) Richmond Cripps, and stepson of the late Harris Cripps. Tom grew up on Bedford Street and was a 1968 graduate of Marion High School in Framingham, where he was a talented member of the basketball team.
He was formerly employed by Shoemaker & Jennings, Inc. in Concord, and more recently at Paul Smith Paving in Natick.
Tom will be lovingly remembered as a loyal friend to many. He was also a sports fanatic who enjoyed golfing and playing softball well into his forties.
His memory will be cherished by four sisters, Louise Richmond and her husband Brian Pitts of Nashua, NH, Fran Dischino and her husband Sal of Acton, Barbara Logan and her partner Robert Hunter of Chelmsford, and Cora Richmond of Gloucester, as well as many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, cousins, and countless good friends.
Family and friends may attend visiting hours on Thursday, December 20th from 1 to 3 and 5 to 8 pm in the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, Concord Center. All are welcome to gather in the Dee Funeral Home on Friday, December 21st at 10 am, followed by a procession to Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, Bedford Street, Concord, where Tom's graveside service will be held at 11 am.
