Thomas Rogers Pearson, 66, of Center Barnstead, NH and formerly of Carlisle, MA, died peacefully in the comfort of his home on Friday, September 24, 2021. He was the devoted husband for 32 years of Judith (Beaulieu) Pearson. He was born in Concord, MA on June 30, 1955, as the son of Jane (Richardson) Pearson, and the late Willis M. Pearson. Tom was educated in the Carlisle and the Concord Public School systems, graduating from Concord High School. Tom started his work life early, working for Bartkus Chicken Farms, McGrath Farms and Marabello Tree and Landscape Company where he met and made many lifelong friends. He started with the Town of Concord in 1973 working for Water and Sewer and then to the Concord Municipal Light Plant, doing underground electric line placement and repair. After retirement from the town, Tom started his own landscaping business and worked for a friend's carpentry business. During this time Tom met and married his wife and best friend Judy. After starting their life together in Concord and Maynard, Massachusetts, they purchased an old farm in Strafford, NH and spent many years working together to make it a home. Tom and Judy gathered a menagerie of animals over the years. Horses, goats, sheep, ducks, chickens and pigs were some of the creatures that were raised along with many cats. There are many great memories of family and friends gathering in the fall so Tom could give away his prized pumpkins to all who came. Wanting a less hectic life, the farm was sold and a new chapter of life was begun in Center Barnstead, NH. Tom immediately started making the place his own. Building a woodshed, chicken house and his garage were just some of his projects he completed. Tom loved being outdoors. As a young man hunting the woods and rivers of Concord and spending time in Maine with family were some of his favorite times. Once the farm was purchased, mowing the back fields of the Strafford farm with his tractor, gardening and splitting wood were some of the things he enjoyed. If the weather was bad, puttering in his garage or cellar was a favorite pastime. If Tom was not doing something for his family and friends he was not living his life. Afternoon walks around the fields and through the woods of Strafford with his dogs True Blue, Mylow and Jill completed those days. Once in Barnstead an afternoon walk down to the pond with the dogs and Judy, in any weather, was done to discuss the day while enjoying the peaceful surroundings. Tom was a big fan of the Patriots, seldom missing a game. Tom is survived by his wife Judy (Beaulieu) Pearson of Center Barnstead, NH, his children, Michelle Bissonnette her husband Jerry and their two children Connor and Maddie of Townsend, MA, Thomas J. Pearson and his three children, Ryan, Kayleigh and Tommy of Lancaster, MA, his mother, Jane Pearson of Marshfield MA, his sister Merrill Bloor and her husband William of Plymouth MA. Tom is also survived by the mother of his children, Janet Marshall and her husband Irv of FL, as well as many nephews, nieces, cousins, in-laws and many true good friends. Tom was predeceased by his big brother, Mike, his father Willis, and too many good friends and relatives to mention. For certain he is enjoying beer thirty with them all. Family and friends are invited to gather for visiting hours on Sunday, October 3rd from 1 to 4 pm in the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, Concord Center. Tom's graveside service will be held on Monday, October 4th at 11 am in Green Cemetery, Bedford Road, Carlisle.
