Thomas Urquhart Linnell, 81, of Boston, passed away peacefully at Care Dimensions Hospice House in Lincoln, MA on March 12, 2024, following a period of declining health.

Born on March 2, 1943, he was the son of the late Curtis and Annie Pauline (Oliver) Linnell. He was raised on Cape Cod, graduating from Barnstable High School with the class of 1962.

Tom will be remembered as a people person who enjoyed life and being sociable with friends and neighbors in the North End of Boston. He was an automobile and motorcycle enthusiast who loved his Harleys during his younger years. He also enjoyed fishing in his spare time.

He was the father of Kathleen O'Malley, Julie Cowan and the late Peter Linnell and his surviving wife Pauline. Grandfather of Michael C. O'Malley, Molly O'Malley-Devonis and her husband Corey, Shannon Linnell and Stella Linnell, and great-grandfather to Finley and Atlas. He was the brother of Curtis Linnell and his wife Glenda, the late George and wife Marilyn Linnell, the late Richard Linnell and his surviving wife Elaine, the late Ronald Linnell and David Linnell, and the late Mary and husband Frank Michaud. Tom is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

A celebration of life is being planned for the fall of 2024 on Cape Cod.
