Thomas "Duff" L. Cain, 89 of Concord and Centerville, passed peacefully on January 8, 2019. He was the loving husband of 58 years to Sheila A. (Coughlin) Cain.
Born in Skaneateles, NY, he was the son of the late William M. and Grace (Pendergast) Cain. He is also survived by his children, Maura E. of Concord and Centerville, Barry E. and Lynda of Framingham, Patrick T. of Kents Hill, Maine, Michael D. of Concord and is predeceased by his son, Paul J. He is survived by six grandchildren, Brian, Megan, William (Will), James (Jed), John (Jack) and Lindsay. He was the brother of the late Frances W., George, John J., and Ann Corcoran.
He was a 1948 graduate of Belmont High School and served in the U.S. Navy. Tom was an avid golfer and Boston sports fan who loved spending time with his family and friends and going to the beach at the Cape.
Family and friends will gather for visiting hours on Friday, January 11th from 4 to 8 pm in the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, Concord Center. His funeral will be held on Saturday, January 12th at 9 am from the Dee Funeral Home, followed by a funeral Mass at 10 am in Holy Family Parish, Monument Square, Concord Center. Burial with military honors will follow at St. Bernard's Cemetery in Concord.
Concord's Town Flag will fly at half-staff on Saturday, January 12th in recognition of Tom's honorable service to his county in the U.S. Navy.
