Theresa (Babish) Jordan, 80, died on Tuesday March 28, 2017. She was the beloved wife for 52 years of the late Leo Jordan who died in 2011. They were residents of Concord, MA for nearly forty years. Born in Lawrence, MA and raised in Methuen, MA, she graduated from Tenney Memorial High School in 1954. She then studied nursing at Massachusetts Memorial Hospitals – School of Nursing in Boston MA, graduating as a Registered Nurse in 1957. She enjoyed a long career in nursing, providing compassionate care for thousands of patients and their families over the years. She completed her nursing career at Emerson Hospital in Concord, MA where she worked in the Radiology Department for nearly twenty years beginning in 1975. During her years in nursing, she successfully balanced the rigors of a challenging job with raising four children and being a loving wife. Her husband's career in the U.S. Coast Guard moved the family up and down the east coast over the years, and provided a wealth of life-long friends. In her retirement she enjoyed spending time in Concord, visiting with her children and grandchildren, and relaxing outdoors at a lake home in Sanbornton, NH. Theresa and Leo were both communicants of Holy Family Parish in Concord, MA. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Leo, and leaves a daughter Lynn Jordan of Bolton, MA, sons Gregory and his wife Deborah of Hollis, NH, Brian and his wife Karen of Burke, VA, and Kevin and his wife Kristin of New York, NY, and a sister Elaine Armstrong of Salem, NH. She is also survived by nine grandchildren. Gratefully, she enjoyed a long life surrounded by friends and family who will deeply miss her. Visiting hours are on Friday, March 31st from 4 to 7 pm in the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, Concord Center. The funeral will be held on Saturday, April 1st at 10 am from the Dee Funeral Home, followed by a funeral Mass at 11 am in Holy Family Parish, Monument Square, Concord Center. Burial will follow at St. Bernard's Cemetery in Concord. Contributions in her name may be made to The Emerson Healthcare Foundation, 133 Old Road to Nine Acre Corner, Concord, MA 01742.
