Sylvia Edith (Nelson) Warner, of Maynard, Massachusetts passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 16, 2024, surrounded by her loving family, at the age of 89.

Sylvia was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts, to Arthur and Edith Nelson, both originally of Sweden. Sylvia was married to Eliot M. Warner for 40 years before Eliot's passing in 1992.

Sylvia was generous to a fault in every way, freely giving of her time and energy to anyone in need. Above all, she loved her family deeply. Shortly after moving her young family to Burlington, MA in 1967, she developed a lifelong friendship with Marilyn Baldrate, who passed in 2013. When time permitted, she enjoyed quilting.

She is survived and forever missed by her three children, Linda Warner of Maine, Nancy Andrews of New Hampshire, and John Warner of Massachusetts; and by her grandchildren, David Lenharr of New York, Taylor Andrews of New Hampshire, William Brown of Maine, and Matthew Warner of Massachusetts; as well as great grandchildren, Christopher Brown and Chloe Brown, both of Maine.

A private family service and burial will take place.

To honor her memory, in lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital .
