IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Susan E.
Patton
March 30, 1964 – January 22, 2023
Susan Elizabeth Patton, 58, of Lincoln, MA, passed away suddenly but peacefully in her sleep on January 22nd, 2023. Her husband, Michael Salm, was by her side and in the presence of her love during her final moments.
Susan was a devoted mother who dedicated her life to raising and caring for her three children. She was a skillful cook who rallied her household with an endearing warmth and bright smile. Susan was caring and had a heart for children and a desire to build a better world for all. She was incredibly proud of her own children, whom she considered her greatest accomplishment.
Susan was deeply spiritual, and she was guided throughout her adult life by a strong sense of faith. She was known for her fiery personality and stood vociferously for what she believed in.
Susan is survived by her husband of 32 years, Michael, her children, Aaron, Regan, and Eli as well as her mother, Barbara, sister, Jeannette, and two brothers, Jim and Michael. She left an indelible imprint on her house and the land she inhabited with her vibrant artistic sensibility. She lived a passionate and intense life, with her spirit of spontaneity and disdain for conformity driving her in surprising and unique directions. She was legendary for the way she would welcome friends, family, and strangers alike into her home. It was rare to depart her company without a full belly and several quotable sound bites.
Susan was known for cooking, singing, and dancing all at once. She loved nothing more than to blast David Bowie and sip a gin-and-tonic while pirouetting and cooking up a storm in the kitchen. Her meals were made with ingredients she grew in her own home garden, and her evenings were filled with family and laughter.
Susan will be deeply missed by her husband, children, her third, and fourth favorite dogs Atlas and Basil, and all those who knew her.
