Susan L. McBride, 74, of Concord, formerly of Lynn, died peacefully on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at the Walden Rehabilitation Center in Concord following a brief illness. A Lynn native, she was born on June 25, 1942 to the late John Robert McBride and Loretta Dolores (Fox) McBride. She attended St. Mary's School during her youth. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Saint Anselm College in Manchester, New Hampshire and later graduated from Boston University with a Master of Science degree from the School of Nursing. For over twenty years, Sue took immense pride in her work as Vice President of Patient Services at Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Medford. Sue was a talented needlepointer, an avid gardener, and a fabulous cook. She enjoyed hosting annual Christmas parties for her colleagues and loved caring for her dogs. Survivors include her sisters, Roberta McBride of Concord and Judithann McBride of Nashua, NH, her nephew, Kevin Coyne of Milford, NH, and her nieces, Karen Treem, Colleen Carlin, and Tracy Coyne, all of Nashua, NH. She was predeceased by her sister, Maureen R. McBride. A period of visitation will be held on Friday, December 9th from 10 to 11 am, with a funeral service beginning at 11 am in the Farrar Chapel of the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, Concord Center. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Lynn.
