Stephen Leo Cavelier, of Concord, MA, passed away peacefully on August 3, 2026 at age 78, after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer.

He was born on April 6, 1948, to Lillian and Leo Cavelier in Concord, Massachusetts. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Claudette; daughters Amy and Emily (Mark); sister Anita Chase (William); brother Dan; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents and his sister, Diane Rhude. He was a loving and loyal husband, brother, and father, and was always willing to lend a hand to his many friends.

After working at his father’s steel fabrication business in Acton, Steve ran his own crane service, Stephen L. Cavelier Inc., for 42 years.

Family and friends are invited to gather for visiting hours at Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, Concord Center on Friday, August 14, from 4 to 7 PM. A burial service will take place at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, 34 Bedford Street, Concord on Saturday, August 15, at 10 AM. A Celebration of Life will be held in the fall.

In lieu of flowers, the family would welcome donations to the Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund.
