Obituary

Stella A. (Wazlowski) Maraget, 95, of Acton, formerly of Weymouth and Wilmington died June 2, 2012 in Concord. She was the beloved wife of the late Leo E. Maraget. Born in Boston on April 5, 1917 she was the daughter of the late Peter Wazlowski and Mary (Zak) Wazlowski. She attended Boston schools. Following her marriage to Mr. Maraget in South Boston in the late 1930's, she resided in Dorchester, Weymouth, Wilmington and for many years Acton. Mrs. Maraget served as Parish secretary for Sacred Heart Parish in Weymouth and later at St. Dorothy's Parish in Wilmington. She also served those parishes as a Eucharistic minister. A devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she cherished the time she shared with her family. She was an avid reader and enjoyed cooking, baking and knitting. She especially enjoyed making two baby blankets for her first great grandchildren that will be a precious keepsake for them. She was also an enthusiastic lifelong Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots fan, supporter and follower. Survivors include her two daughters, Carol Ann Boughrum and Leona Palmaccio, both of Acton. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Stacey Ann McCarthy, Keith and Bryan Boughrum and Matthew and Stephen Palmaccio; her great-grandchildren, William and Elyse Stella McCarthy, Callen and Cory Palmaccio; her sister Jeanne Popsuj of Florida; and by many nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her brothers Frank and Henry Wazlowski, her sisters , Josephine Urban and Frances Dziengelewski and by her god daughter Maryanne Dennis. Cemetery: Private interment will be in the family burial plot in St. Michael's Cemetery, Boston. Visitation: Visiting hours at the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, Concord Center will be held on Thursday, June 7th from 4 to 7 PM. Service: Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, June 8th at 10 AM in Our Lady of Fatima Church, 178 Concord Road, Sudbury, MA.
