BOURQUIN, Shirley Workman. Forty-four year resident of Bronxville, NY and more recent resident of Marlborough, MA, died of Colon Cancer on August 2, 2015 in Wayland, Massachusetts. She was the wife of the late Pierre Bourquin, mother of Colette Bourquin Nygren and Pierson Bourquin, grandmother of Annika and Alexandra Nygren. Shirley was raised in Spring Glen, Hamden, Connecticut and attended the Day School. Mrs. Bourquin met her husband Pierre while he was an undergraduate at Yale University. A graduate of Sarah Lawrence College, she was a first and second grade teacher. She served as President of the Rye Figure Skating Club for over 30 years and a US Figure Skating judge for over 25 years as a Gold Test, Gold Dance, Senior Competition, National Showcase and National Theater on Ice judge. Shirley served as Chairman of the US Figure Skating Nominating Committee and as a member of the USFS Judges Committee. She was also active in the Junior League of Bronxville, New York. A Celebration of her Life will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at 10AM, Plymouth Church of Framingham, MA.
