Obituary

Shirley J. (Blanchard) Recco daughter of the late Nathan and Julia Blanchard died peacefully at home on March 22nd with her family by her side. She was the beloved wife of 30 years of the late Phillip C. Recco. Born in Arlington on July 2nd 1927, Shirley moved to Concord in her early childhood, graduated from Concord High School and has been a resident of Concord ever since. She was an avid sports fan and a competitive candlepin bowler appearing on TV several times in competition. Shirley's favorite team was the Red Sox, she knew every player and statistic and was always very defensive of her favorite players. Shirley was very compassionate always volunteering to help out where needed which endeared her to her many friends. She leaves her children Julie C. Recco of Concord, Robert P. Recco of Concord, Mark P. Recco and his wife Elissa of Littleton and Phillip Recco and his wife Mary of Concord. Also survived by her loving grandchildren, Jacquelyn Recco, Julie Recco, Danielle Recco, Jenna Recco, Phillip Recco and Peter Rodday. Shirley was pre deceased by her six sisters: Ruth O'Neil, Ellen Palmer, Lucy Harding, Natalie Benoit, Mary Reno and Jacqueline Kirby. The Funeral is Wednesday March 26th from the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, Concord Center at 11 am followed by a Funeral Mass in Holy Family Parish, Monument Square, Concord Center at 12 noon. Interment will be at St. Bernard's Cemetery, Concord. Visiting Hours are Tuesday 4 to 8 pm at the funeral home. In Lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to Care Dimensions Hospice, 75 Sylvan Street, Suite B-102, Danvers, Ma 01923. Cemetery: Interment St. Bernard's Cemetery, Concord. Visitation: Visiting hours Tuesday March 25th from 4 to 8 pm. Service: Funeral Wed. March 26 from the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, CONCORD CENTER at 11 am followed by a funeral Mass in Holy Family Parish, Monument Square, Concord Center at 12 Noon.
