Sheila Rooney Semrad, 82, of Carlisle, died peacefully in her sleep at home on Wednesday, September 6, 2017. She joins her dearly beloved husband, Theodore Semrad, who predeceased her in November of 1995. Mrs. Semrad was born on March 15, 1935, the daughter of the late Richard and Katherine (Connearney) Rooney. She grew up in Waltham and graduated from Boston College. She is survived by her cherished children, Laura, Theodore, and Susan Semrad, and her beloved grandson, Eben Semrad Cossutta. Relatives and friends will gather for her funeral Mass on Tuesday, September 12th at 11 am in St. Irene Roman Catholic Church, 181 East Street, Carlisle. Burial will follow at Green Cemetery in Carlisle. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Gleason Public Library, 22 Bedford Road, Carlisle, MA 01741 or to Carlisle Council on Aging, 66 Westford Street, Carlisle, MA 01741. Arrangements are under the care of the Dee Funeral Home of Concord.
