Rusty Glicksman, age 74, of Arlington, passed away peacefully on September 7, 2021. He was born on February 18, 1947, a son of Lilian (Landau) and the late Phillip Glicksman.
Rusty was raised in Livingston, NJ and graduated from George Washington University, Washington D.C. - Phi Beta Kappa. He went on to earn his Master's Degree from McGill University, Montreal, Canada.
After graduating from McGill, he taught there for many years and then at Brandeis University, ultimately settling in Boston.
Rusty was a free spirit and traveled the world. He hiked throughout Central America, throughout Europe and Asia, visited the Dalai Lama, and then hitchhiked across China.
He built a jewelry business, starting with necklaces that his beloved wife Rita designed, and eventually crafted rings and other items from India. He was truly a free spirit. The only thing he never completed was the next Great American Novel.
A private graveside service was held at Beit Olam East Cemetery in Wayland.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Rusty's memory may be made to Southern Poverty Law Center (www.donate.splcenter.org) or to
