Obituary

Rosemary D. (Lombardo) Panetta, 87 , of Lincoln, formerly of Concord died Tuesday May 8th in Concord. She was the beloved wife of the late James J. Panetta. Born in Concord on July 16, 1924 she was the daughter of the late Joseph Lombardo and Carmela (Marino) Lombardo. She attended Concord schools, was a 1942 graduate of Concord High School and later attended Hickox Secretarial School in Boston. Mrs. Panetta retired in 1984 after many years of employment as a secretary for Middlesex Insurance Company and Sentry Insurance Company in Concord. She was married to Mr. Panetta at St. Bernard's Church in Concord in 1950 and has been a Lincoln Resident since 1953. An avid reader, she enjoyed playing the piano, crossword puzzles and crochet. She was a member of the Senior Citizens Club in Lincoln. Survivors include her daughter Jane Panetta-Pelletier and her husband Dennis of Lincoln, a son John R. Panetta and his wife Cindy of Maynard, three grandchildren, Samantha, Stefanie and John Panetta, and a brother Michele Lombardo of Cape Coral, Florida. She was also the mother of the late James J. Panetta Jr. and the sister of the late Carmela Lombardo and Natala Granchelli. Funeral will be held Friday May 11th from the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, Concord Center at 9:45 am followed by a funeral Mass in St. Joseph's Church, Lincoln at 11 am. Visiting hours at the Dee Funeral Home will be on Thursday May 10th from 4 to 8 pm. Interment will follow in the family burial plot in Lincoln Cemetery. Contributions in her memory may be made to the charity of one's choice. Arrangements are under the care of Charles W. Dee and Susan M. Dee, Dee Funeral Home of Concord.
