Rose Marie (Hall) Carr, 86, of Concord, passed from this world peacefully Jan 1, 2012 surrounded by her family and grandchildren. Born November 26, 1925, the daughter of Daniel and Mary Etta Hall of Charlestown, MA. She married the late John Joseph Carr and they moved to Concord in 1953 where they happily raised their six children. They were lovingly married for 60 years. She is survived by her sister Lillian Jean Bradshaw of Concord, Ma. Rose and John were longtime family business owners in Concord with Carr's Concord Sports Shop of 69 Main Street open over 27 years and 10 years prior to that the Sunoco gas station at the corner of Sudbury and Thoreau Streets, employing many local high school kids in their first part time jobs. Rose was a loving and dedicated mother to six children and ten grandchildren. She will be remembered for her thoughtfulness and devotion to family and others. She cared for many of her grandchildren and often in-home care of aging relatives while helping with the family businesses. She will be greatly missed by her children John Jr. and Naomi Carr of Japan, Daniel Carr and his late wife, Connie, of Granby, MA, Janet Carr of Concord, Michael and Holly Carr of Lunenburg, Karen and Joseph Venti of Concord, Katy and PJ Connell of Westford and her grandchildren Carlin, Evin, and Hilary Carr of Granby, Abigail and Emily Carr of Lunenburg, Sam and Addie Rose Venti of Concord, and Brittany, Matthew, and Zachary Connell of Westford. Visiting hours at the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, Concord Center will be held on Friday January 6th from 5 to 8 pm. Her funeral will be held Saturday, January 7, 2012 at 8:45 a.m. from the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, Concord Center followed by a funeral Mass at Saint Michaels Parish, 90 Concord Road, Bedford, MA at 10 am. Burial will follow at St. Bernard's Cemetery, Bedford Road, Concord.
