Robert C. Rush, Jr., 64, formerly of Concord, MA, died on May 2, 2022 in Boston, following a courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis.
He was born in Kingston, New York on February 24, 1958. Raised in Concord, he graduated with the class of 1976 from Concord-Carlisle High School. His passion for sports at an early age led to participation in youth basketball, baseball and volleyball. Subsequently, he completed a bachelor's degree in Business and Accounting at Merrimack College.
Bob oversaw the accounting operations as a Controller for several companies, including Pleasant View Gardens in Loudon, NH and his father's business, Rush Enterprises in Hudson, NH.
He resided in Manchester, NH for nearly 30 years, and will be remembered as a loyal fan to every Boston sports team.
Bob will be forever loved and missed by two daughters, Kristin Rush of Amesbury, MA, Kimberly Kelley and her husband Michael of Westbrook, ME, one grandson, Noah Kelley, his parents, Robert Rush, Sr. and Isabel (Gagnon) Rush of Concord, MA, two sisters, Ginger Bailey and her husband Michael of Rollinsford, NH and Diane Day and her husband Nathan of Exeter, NH, along with his nephew, Ryan Day, and nieces, Heather and Alyson Bailey. Bob was predeceased by his wife, Melinda (MacLeod) Rush.
Family members and friends will gather for a private funeral service on Monday, May 9th at 11 am in the Farrar Chapel of the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, Concord, MA. Burial will follow at St. Bernard's Cemetery in Concord.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at The Boston Home, where Bob lived for nine years. Their superb care and compassion provided immense peace of mind during his illness.
