Obituary

Robert Patrick McCue, of Lynn, MA, known as Patrick to his many friends and coworkers, passed away at his home on Sunday, August 10, 2025 at the age of 60. He was the husband of the late Donald Dean MacMelville, who died in 2024.

Born on June 11, 1965, he was the youngest of three children to Robert W. McCue and the late Anne E. (McLaughlin) McCue. He grew up in Concord, MA, graduated from Concord-Carlisle High School, and attended Garber Travel School in Waltham.

Patrick pursued his dream of working in the travel industry, which led to a fulfilling 41-year career as a Manager of Corporate Travel and a VIP Travel Consultant. He was employed by American Express Travel, Oliver Wyman Firm and BCD Travel. He specialized in managing complex itineraries with a tireless work ethic and boundless enthusiasm. He truly loved his professional career, and was highly admired by both his clients and coworkers.

His work made him a world traveler, and he vacationed around the globe with his partner, Donald. Patrick was a lifelong aviation enthusiast and an ardent animal lover, especially his two dogs, Rufus and Louis. His home in Lynn was in close proximity to the ocean, which he loved. Aside from travel, Patrick enjoyed socializing with family and friends. He was a great story teller. A gracious host, his Christmas and Halloween parties were legendary, always having his home decorated to the nines. Patrick's memory will be cherished, and he will be forever missed.

Patrick is survived by his father, Robert W. McCue of Concord, and two sisters, Kathleen McCue of Waltham and Mary McCue of Concord, along with her partner Scott Ferguson of Maynard. He also leaves behind a host of devoted friends and extended relatives.

Family and friends will gather for visiting hours on Thursday, September 4th from 6 to 8 pm in the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, Concord Center. Patrick's Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, September 5th at 10:30 am in St. Bernard's Church at Holy Family Parish, 12 Monument Square, Concord Center.
