Robert L. Micarelli, 77, of Carlisle, died peacefully at Emerson Hospital in Concord from complications due to diabetes on Sunday, July 10, 2022. He was the beloved husband for 53 years of Janice (Cook) Micarelli.
Born in Melrose on February 19, 1945, he was the son of the late Louis and Phyllis (Gallo) Micarelli. After attending St. Francis Seminary School in Andover, he completed a post-graduate year at Everett High School, and earned a degree in engineering from Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston.
During Bob's professional life, he worked for Transitron Corporation in Waltham and Microsemi in Lawrence as an Electronic Engineer and Manager of the testing department. He later founded and operated Trebor Industries from his Carlisle home to repurpose diodes for selling to the government and various companies.
Bob's adolescence consisted of various moves and school changes, thus shaping him into a selfless, dedicated family man. He committed himself to providing the best for his family, which included one home where his children were raised in a healthy and safe environment. He was proud to be active and supportive in all of their endeavors, and never missing a sporting event or theatre performance.
Those who knew Bob will fondly remember his lifelong admiration for animals. He was known amongst family as the "Dog Whisperer", and cherished all of the canine companions who graced his life over the years. His other interests included history, coin collecting and architecture. Bob also loved the Town of Carlisle, and treasured being part of such a wonderful community.
In addition to his wife, he leaves behind three daughters, Jennifer Webb and her husband Brian of Shrewsbury, Allison Micarelli-Sokoloff and her husband Mark of Brooklyn, NY and Lindsay Bennett and her husband Nick of Westminster, three grandchildren, Logan Webb, Paul Sokoloff and Ava Sokoloff, two sisters, Barbara Johnson of GA and Marie Corkery and her husband Brian of Plymouth. Also, he was "Uncle Bobby" to two nieces and two nephews.
Family and friends will gather for visiting hours on Tuesday, July 19th from 1 to 3 pm in the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, Concord Center. His funeral will be held on Wednesday, July 20th at 8:45 am from Dee Funeral Home, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 am in St. Irene Parish, 181 East Street, Carlisle. Burial will follow at Green Cemetery in Carlisle.
