Robert Craig "Rob" Lindstrom, of Maynard, passed away suddenly on May 31, 2023 following a battle with early-onset Dementia. He was 66 years old.
Rob was born November 4, 1956 in Medford to Frank Kenneth Lindstrom and Marilyn (White) Lindstrom and grew up in Bedford, attending Bedford High School.
He was a lover of music, movies, cars, golf and especially the Great Meadows National Wildlife Refuge in Concord where he used to play growing up. He loved spending time with family and friends cooking and introducing them to new foods and recipes, having barbecues with racks and racks of ribs - what he liked to call a Rib Fest, College Football - especially the LSU Tigers, attending Incubus concerts and watching music concert DVDs in his basement "cave". He also enjoyed a warm sunny day simply watching hummingbirds at his feeders.
Rob leaves behind his wife of 25 years and best friend Janine C. Lindstrom of Maynard, his three sons Nicholas (and partner Amanda Leedberg) of Pepperell, Kris (and wife Tiffany Mellin) of Suffolk, VA, and Kyle of Pepperell; his brother Peter (and wife Diane) of Dracut and four cherished grandchildren: Violet, 10; Jack, 8; Sofie, 4; Jason, 4 all of Virginia.
He was predeceased by his parents and his oldest brother, Richard.
Visiting hours will be held in the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford St., Concord, MA on Friday, June 9th from 4 -7 p.m. Family and friends will gather again at the funeral home on Saturday, June 10th at 11:45 a.m. for procession to Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, where Rob will be laid to rest beside his mother.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Rob's name to Doberman Rescue Unlimited of Sandown, NH, The Brain and Behavior Research Foundation, or The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI).
