Robert J. Gottlieb, age 79, of Maynard, formerly of Brooklyn, NY and Monmouth County, NJ. He was the beloved husband for 53 years of Renee (Birk) Gottlieb and the father of Steven and his wife Emily of Burlington, and Robin Alwell and her husband Eamonn of Holmdel, NJ. He is also survived by 5 wonderful grandchildren and was a passionate lover of the family dogs, Brady, Fionne, Tucker, Cloud and dearly departed Shadow. He served as an Air Force fighter pilot in 1960's, and was called up during the Cuban Missile Crisis. In 1961 he became a Senior Executive in retail marketing lasting for more than 3 decades with Gimbel's, Service Merchandise and Jordan Marsh. Funeral arrangements are private.
