Robert Lee Baldwin, age 87, a resident of Concord, Massachusetts since 1971, died on July 5, 2025.

He was born on March 1, 1938 in Norwich Connecticut, as the beloved son of the late Harry Baldwin and Flossie Meyer Baldwin in Brunswick, Maine.

He was a graduate of the Moses Brown School in Providence, Rhode Island (1956), Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine (1960) and Columbia University School of Business in New York City, New York (1966). From 1961 to 1964, Robert served as an Intelligence Research Officer in the United States Army, and was honorably discharged with the rank of First Lieutenant.

For 32 years, Robert was an employee of the Polaroid Corporation in its Finance Division, where he held a variety of positions in domestic and international operations and its corporate staff level. Robert loved to fish and be outdoors. He spent many days on the water up until his passing. He was a cheerful and loyal friend. He enjoyed daily walks with his wife, holding hands as they went. Robert gave many gifts over his life, but his greatest gift to his loved ones was the gift of unconditional love. He was deeply loved and will be missed.

He was the beloved husband of Pamela Penglase Baldwin for 56 years of loving marriage. He was the caring and supportive father of Bartholomew Baldwin of Lynn, Massachusetts and Timothy Baldwin and daughter-in-law Laurel Aylesworth of Barrington, Rhode Island, and the proud Grandpa of Lila and Josephine Baldwin of Barrington, Rhode Island.

To honor Robert's wishes, the funeral and burial will be a private family event and there will be no visiting hours. Concord's Town Flag will fly at half-staff on July 13, 2025 in honor of his faithful military service.
