Rita (Chamberlain) Booth, 91, of Carlisle, died Monday, February 20, 2012 at Concord Healthcare Center. She was the beloved wife of the late Francis A. Booth. Born in Hooksett, New Hampshire on July 30, 1920 she was the daughter of the late Wilfred G. and Albertine (Pelletier) Chamberlain. She graduated as an RN from Notre Dame School of Nursing in Manchester, New Hampshire. During the 1960's and 70's, Mrs. Booth worked as a registered nurse at the former Valley Head Hospital in Carlisle. A resident of Carlisle since 1946, she was a former member of the St. Irene Women's Club and was a longtime Communicant of St. Irene Church in Carlisle. Survivors include, her children, David J. Booth and his wife Priscilla of Chelmsford, Margaret Booth of Fayston, VT, Francis A. Booth, Jr. and his wife Carol of Leominster, Joanne Booth of Nashua, NH and Paul D. Booth of Carlisle and his close friend, Mary Davidson of Waitsfield, VT and her children, Daisy, Blake and Nick Davidson, 6 grandchildren, Laura Cantanzano and her husband Salvatore of Tewksbury, Andrew J. Booth and his wife Jennifer of Merrimack, NH, Michael F. Booth of St. Johnsbury, VT, Lauren M. Booth of Leominster, Gregory J. Booth of Somerville and Lucy M. Damon of Nashua, NH, 4 great grandchildren, Victoria and Salvatore Cantanzano of Tewksbury and Luccas and Cody Booth of Merrimack, NH, 1 sister, Alice Daly of Naples, Florida, 1 brother, Donald Chamberlain of Baltimore, MD and several nieces and nephews. A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, February 29th, at 11 AM in St. Irene Church, 181 East Street, Carlisle, followed by a burial in Green Cemetery, Carlisle.
