Obituary

Rebecca Sui Ching Tang, 69, of Carlisle, died on Sunday, July 14, 2019 at Life Care Center in Stoneham. For twenty years, she continued to defy the odds while suffering from Glioblastoma. Her courageous and lengthy battle with this rare disease was a true testament to her tenacity and determination. Born in Hong Kong, China on December 17, 1949, she was the daughter of Janet Koh of Toronto and the late Henry Koh. A woman with a profound passion for flowers, she utilized her talents in floristry as the former owner of Imagine That in Andover. She also loved reading, in particular romance novels. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Kenneth Kai Chi Tang, her son, Stephen Hofung Tang and his wife Mary of Norwood, one granddaughter, Emie Tang, and two siblings, Danny Koh of Toronto and Sarah Yeung of New York. Rebecca was the mother of the late Jonathan Hokong Tang who died in 2017. Family and friends will gather for visiting hours on Thursday, July 18th from 9:30 to 11:30 am in the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, Concord Center, with her funeral service beginning at 11:30 am. Burial will follow at Green Cemetery in Carlisle, where she will be laid to rest beside her beloved son, Jon.
