Ralph D. Kilfoyle, 88, of Concord, passed away at home on April 2, 2021. He was the devoted husband for 54 years of the late Mary T. (Dwyer) Kilfoyle, who died in 2018.
He was born on October 14, 1932 in Cambridge, as the son of the late John and Katherine (McNeill) Kilfoyle. He was a graduate of Cambridge Rindge and Latin High School. Ralph later attended Boston University, and briefly served in the United States Army, stationed in Georgia.
During his younger years, he worked alongside his brothers in various construction trades. He served as an Assistant Golf Professional at Brea Burn Country Club in West Newton, before taking on a role as a Sales Representative for a lumber company. He founded a development and home building business, which he owned and operated from 1984 until 2006.
A longtime Concord resident, he settled in town with his wife Mary in the mid 1960's. An avid golfer his entire life, Ralph was an active member at Concord Country Club. As a talented hockey player in high school and college, he later utilized his experience in the sport as a Coach for Concord Youth Hockey.
Ralph enjoyed traveling with his wife, spending quality time with his four grandchildren, and staying in touch with his large extended family, which includes a host of nieces and nephews. A faithful, lifelong Catholic, Ralph was a parishioner at Holy Family Parish in Concord and St. Joseph Church in Lincoln for many years.
He will be forever missed by his daughter, Doreen Vachon and her husband Paul of Brookline, two sons, Ralph Kilfoyle, Jr. of Brighton, and Brian Kilfoyle and his wife Candice of Acton, his grandchildren, Lexie, Paul Jr., Evan and Luke, as well as a sister, Anne Rocha of Melrose.
Family and friends will gather for Ralph's Funeral Mass on Saturday, April 10th at 1 pm in Holy Family Parish, Monument Square, Concord Center.
