Peter J. O'Malley, Jr. 89, passed away on September 16, 2014. He was the son of the late Peter J. O'Malley and Mary (Monagle) O'Malley. Devoted husband of the late Mary T. (Lawton) O'Malley. Beloved father of Peter C. O'Malley of Santa Cruz, CA, Michael R. O'Malley and his wife Sharlet Trilling of Arlington, MA, Timothy J. O'Malley and his wife Ani T. O'Malley of Arlington, MA, Naureen McMillan of Los Angeles, CA and the late Thomas E. O'Malley. Loving grandfather of Eric T. O'Malley, Collin O'Malley and Niall O'Malley. Loving father in-law of the late William McMillan of Los Angeles, CA. Loving brother of Teresa Fernberg of Clinton, Patricia Flanagan of Dorchester, Susan McLoughlin of Quincy, and the late John O'Malley, Mary Toole, Rose Toole, Catherine Conlon, Ann O'Malley, and Barbara Feinstein . Peter also leaves many nieces and nephews. Peter is fondly remembered for his loving devotion to his wife and family. Peter and Mary moved to Concord in 1958 to raise their family. Peter was very active in the community. He coached and umpired in the Concord Little League and also served as president for 3 years. Peter enjoyed politics and served as chairman of the Concord Democratic Town Committee. He was also a volunteer at Emerson Hospital. Peter was a Decorated Army Veteran, WWII and received 2 Bronze Stars. Visiting hours Saturday, September 20th from 1-3pm in the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, Concord Center, followed by a funeral service at 3pm. All are welcome. Burial will follow at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, Concord.
