Paul Maurice Leslie Sr., 85, of Concord, formerly of Lincoln, died Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at Life Care Center of Acton.
He leaves his beloved wife of 62 years Betty (Lips) Leslie; his son Paul M. Leslie Jr. and his girlfriend Michelle Art of Winchendon; his daughter Cynthia Shaw of Templeton; his son Peter Leslie of Kentucky; his daughter Betsy Olivo and her husband Tom of Leicester; his daughter Mary of Concord; grandchildren: Valerie Ellison (Dwayne) Amy Fagan (Justin), Melissa Kearney (Nathan), Christopher Shaw (Laura), Amanda Shaw, Joshua Leslie, Jacob Leslie, Morgan Leslie, Michael Olivo, Shawn Olivo; great grandchildren: Victoria and Gabriella Proctor; Kaleigh Shaw; Alana Bonilla; and Emma and Justin Fagan; loving brother of the late Bernard Leslie, Helen Macone, and Martha Doyle and grandfather to the late Julie Shaw, our little angel in heaven. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Born September 25, 1932 in Arlington, he was the son of the late Maurice and Annie (DeWolfe) Leslie. He was a lifelong resident of Lincoln and Concord.
In his early years, he would help his father on the family owned Turkey Farm in Lincoln. He attended Lincoln and Concord public schools and graduated as Class President from Concord High School in 1951 where he lettered in football.
For 25 years, Mr. Leslie worked as a Salesman for Lord and Burnham selling Green Houses. Most recently, he retired after 25 years of employment from Concord and Littleton Lumber Company.
Mr. Leslie was a lifetime member of The Concord Lodge Of Elks as well as a past member of the Concord Rod and Gun Club. In his younger days he enjoyed late night card games with his wife, his dear cousin Bob and his wife Theresa along with their friends. He was often seen in Concord center during the Christmas season, helping out Santa. Paul's greatest gift was his love for his family.
He will be remembered by his family as a hard working, genuine, loving man.
Family and friends will gather for visiting hours on Friday, November 10th from 4 to 7 pm in the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, Concord Center. An Elks service will take place at 6:30 pm. His funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 11th at 11:30 am in the Farrar Chapel of the Dee Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Lincoln Cemetery.
