We regret to announce that Paul Walter Jameson, age 88, died unexpectedly on Friday, December 15th, 2023. He touched so many people's lives and will be forever loved.

Paul was born February 25, 1935, in Everett, MA, to Matthew and Hildegard Jameson. He grew up in Salem, and lived in Concord for most of his life.

He is survived by his wife Jo Anne Jameson, sister Dot Bloomfield, his children Eliza McMurray, Andrew Jameson, and Matthew Jameson, and by his grandchildren, Chase McMurray, Ryder McMurray, and Alice Jameson.

Paul graduated from Phillips Academy (Andover) in 1952, Harvard School of Design in 1956, and MIT (BS 1961, MS 1961, Ph.D 1967). He worked as a physicist at Bolt Beranek and Newman, and later at Raytheon. Paul retired at 78 and enjoyed the last ten years with a number of passions and interests, including cycling, theoretical physics, the Concord Area Humanists, the Jewish Voice for Peace, the Concord Democratic Committee, and alumni associations at Andover, Harvard, and MIT. Paul was content, thoughtful, kind, and hearty up until the moment his time ran out.

We, his family, will plan a memorial service for him in the spring or summer, and will announce details when they are available.
