Paul V. Dee, Jr., 76, a lifelong Concord resident, died at home with family by his side on August 1, 2022.
He was the loving son of the late Paul V. Dee, Sr. and Helen V. (Mattson) Dee. Paul was the brother of Lorraine Dee Mangan and her late husband John of Lawrence, Mark S. Dee and his wife Rebecca of Leominster, Cynthia K. Brooks and her husband Danny of Cardiff, CA and the late Carolyn Crocker and her surviving husband Lee of Ashburnham; along with nieces and nephews: John M. and Rachel Mangan, Michael and Desiree Mangan, Rebecca (Crocker) Martin, Eric Crocker, Mark E. Dee, Kathleen Dee, Audrey Willis and Parker Brooks as well as grand nieces, grand nephews and many cousins.
Paul attended Concord schools and graduated from Concord Carlisle Regional High School. He attended Northeastern University and graduated from Babson College with a Bachelors in Business Administration. He originally worked for Northeast Airlines ("Yellowbird") at Logan taking European travels with his co-workers. Paul then worked at Best Western Hotel in Concord as assistant manager. After retiring from Best Western, he moved to Peter Bulkeley Terrace in Concord. There he enjoyed being with his neighbors and made good friends with many of the residents. Another "family" Paul was part of were all the friends that frequented the Makaha Restaurant in Acton over the years. He even attended their final closing day.
Paul had a love for many genres of music and had attended quite a few live concerts over the years. He had a vast knowledge of not only the singers & their songs, but writers & producers as well. He loved to relate little known background stories in the making of an album. His other love was sports, especially football.
He was known for his quiet humor, a private person at times, but definitely respectful of everyone – a gentleman. He enjoyed getting together with friends and relatives and cared deeply for his family.
Family and friends will gather for a period of visitation on Saturday, August 13th from 10 to 11:30 am, with a funeral service beginning at 11:30 am in the Farrar Chapel of Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, Concord Center. Burial will follow at St. Bernard's Cemetery in Concord.
