IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Patrick E.
Heims
December 21, 1928 – December 23, 2023
Patrick E. Heims, of Carlisle, died at Life Care Center of Acton on December 23, 2023. He had just celebrated his 95th birthday two days prior.
Patrick grew up in Osceola Mills, Pennsylvania, as the son of the late Clayton and Constance Heims. He came from a loving family who was active in their community. His father served as Mayor of Osceola Mills, and Patrick often recalled the fond memories of growing up there, where he made lasting friendships with kids from his neighborhood. He went on to study at Penn State, where he was President of his fraternity and Captain of the boxing team. He won the silver medal for the NCAA boxing championship. A proud alumnus, he traveled back to the school annually to watch the competitive football games against Michigan and Alabama State.
After serving honorably as an Officer in the United States Army, Patrick focused on his career in sales, where he worked his way from a starting Salesman to National Sales Director for S.D. Warren Paper Mill.
His passion for golf never wavered, and as a longtime member of Concord Country Club, he cherished the memories and friendships made while on the course. He also loved fishing and hunting expeditions. Spending time in Naples, Florida always held a special place in his heart, and he was a member of Trinitarian Congregational Church in Concord.
Patrick is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years, Greta (Krueger) Heims, along with their three children, Clayton Heims, II of Carlisle, Eric Heims of Lexington and Gretchen Heims of Boston, and two grandchildren, Nicholas and Elena Heims. He was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Heims.
Family and friends will gather for visiting hours at Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, Concord Center on Friday, December 29th from 5 to 7 pm. His memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 30th at 11 am in Trinitarian Congregational Church, 54 Walden Street, Concord Center, with a reception following.
Arrangements are entrusted to Dee Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Concord.
