On October 5, 2015, after a long illness, Patricia Kelly Smith, beloved wife of 57 years to Bernard, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family. She was the devoted mother to her three children who survive her: Kathleen M. Jaworski and her husband John of Eugene, OR, Brian K. Smith and his wife Judith of Warwick, RI, and Alison M. Koehnke and her husband Christopher of Annandale, VA. She is also survived by six grandchildren: Mary Alivia Tolsma and her husband Adam of St. Paul, MN, Kevin Bryan of Toronto, ON, Robert Koehnke of New York, NY, and Carolyn, Kathleen and William Koehnke of Annandale, VA. One of nine children, she is survived by a sister, Alice Griffin, formerly of Concord, and many nieces and nephews. She was the daughter of the late James and Catherine Kelly, formerly of Watertown, MA. A loving mother who devoted herself to raising her children until they were educated, she pursued a college degree at the age of 63 and graduated with a perfect 4.0 GPA. A lover of music and dancing, she would often break out into songs from her favorite musicals. Her joys in life were her family, her Church, and her insatiable thirst to expand her mind. Patricia's outgoing yet humble personality will be missed by all who knew her. Funeral will be held on Saturday, October 10th at 9 am from the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, Concord Center, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in Holy Family Parish, Monument Square, Concord Center. Burial will follow at St. Bernard's Cemetery, Concord. Visiting hours are Friday, October 9th from 4 to 8 pm in the Dee Funeral Home.
