Patricia Ann Ruggiero (née Marcey), of Ashby, passed peacefully in her sleep on February 1, 2022. Raised in Maynard, she lived and raised her family in West Concord for almost twenty-five years. She was the loving and supportive wife of Lawrence Ruggiero for forty-nine of her seventy-one years on this earth. She was predeceased by her parents, John and Barbara, and by her brothers, John and Paul, and will also be grieved by her sister Nancy and her brothers, James and Stephen. She also leaves several cousins, nieces and nephews, and her dear Aunt Marilyn. In addition to Lawrence, she is survived by her three sons; Peter, and his wife Jessica of Lowell; Patrick, and his wife Melanie of Lunenburg; and Paul, and his partner Lindsay Fallon of Townsend. Patricia also leaves her five grandchildren, each of them a tremendous source of pride and happiness for her. Christian, Rowan, Lauren, Malia and Peter can all count themselves fortunate to have had a 'Gram' that loved them so deeply. She was also a devoted mother to her cats and dogs over the years, and their companionship and love was always appreciated and rewarded. Patricia loved playing cards; whether it was a rambunctious game of hearts at two in the morning, or teaching a young child to play cribbage over breakfast. Patricia's cousin Joan was her best friend, and along with Joan's husband Bob, Larry and Patty laughed through countless games over the years. She and Larry hosted family dinners at their home in Ashby, every Sunday, for the past twenty years. They have also welcomed family and friends of all ages to their vacation home in Wells, Vermont for over thirty-five years. By gathering her extended family close to her, Patricia was surrounded by loved ones for her entire life. The people whose lives she touched will mourn together, supporting one another in the ways that she taught us over the years. The memorial services will be private, with a celebration of Patricia's life to follow in the spring.
