Obituary

Patricia Ann (Fraser) Johnson, age 86, of Acton, MA, formerly of Naples, FL and Bedford, MA, passed away unexpectedly but peacefully, and surrounded by her loving family on May 2, 2025 at Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington. She was the dedicated and loving wife for 65 years of the late Peter R. Johnson, who predeceased her in September of 2024.

Born on August 10, 1938, Pat was raised in Medford and graduated from Medford High School with the class of 1956. She went on to complete the nursing program as an RN at Lawrence Memorial Hospital in 1959. After marrying her soulmate Peter, the couple resided in Arlington for five years, before settling in Bedford in 1965, where they raised their family.

A woman of deep faith, Pat was an active parishioner and volunteer for many years at St. Michael's Church in Bedford and later Holy Family Parish in Concord. She was a longtime nurse and advocate for elder services and found great fulfillment in her nursing and then bookkeeping career. After retiring in 1999, she and Peter wintered in Naples, enjoying golf and time spent with their Florida friends.

Pat loved her family immensely and hosted countless holidays and celebrations over the years. She made the best homemade turkey gravy, ever. She never forgot a birthday, anniversary or special occasion and was a fixture at sporting events, plays, concerts, award ceremonies, graduations, weddings, and christenings, always with a beaming smile across her face. She was so proud of her five children, their partners and particularly her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Adventurous, Pat loved to travel with Peter and the two of them crossed the United States and much of Europe over their years together. She loved to bake tea breads each fall to give as gifts and her grandchildren were thoroughly amused that she mailed cash to them in their birthday, Easter, Halloween & Valentine's Day cards. Short in stature but long on personality, Pat never met a stranger, only friends in the making. She had a large circle of friends from high school, nursing school and from Bedford and Naples that she cherished and enjoyed get-togethers from dinner parties to theme parties and everything in between.

She was the beloved mother of Richard P. Johnson and his wife Suzanne of Manassas, VA; Douglas A. Johnson and his wife Cheryl of Tyngsboro, Linda E. Angelucci and her husband Dante of Weston, Carol A. Mici (Richard Hayes) of Groton and Michael P. Johnson (Barbara) of Marblehead. Pat also leaves behind her grandchildren, Derek, Kevin, Scott, Lauren, James, Rebecca, Steven, Katrina, Dante, Ava, Ashley, and Caroline, and her three great-grandchildren Andrew, Emily and Henry, along with many nieces and nephews. Pat was predeceased by her parents, Douglas and Catherine Fraser, her grandson, Nicolas Peter Angelucci, and her brother, Douglas E. Fraser.
