Patricia M. (Hennessy) Harvey, 92, a longtime Concord resident, died peacefully in the comfort of her home on Tuesday, July 3, 2018. She was the loving wife of the late Charles J. Harvey who died in 1980. She was born in Woburn on March 29, 1926 to her late parents, Michael and Mary (McEnaney) Hennessy. After graduating from Winthrop High School, she was the executive secretary for the Boston Globe Advertising Manager in the 1940's to the early 1950's. After moving to Concord in 1953, Mrs. Harvey focused many years on her family as a devoted wife and mother. In the mid 1980's, Patsy was employed at Harvard University as Coordinator-President's Weekends, until her retirement in 1991. A woman of strong faith, she was a dedicated parishioner at St. Bernard's Church, and later, Holy Family Parish in Concord. An avid bridge player, Patsy enjoyed the neighborhood bridge games for many years. She was often on the organizing committees of the Rose Hawthorne fundraisers. She also enjoyed sewing and spending quality time with family and friends. She leaves behind three children, Jessica Harvey of Concord, Charles Harvey of Orlando, FL, and Peter Harvey and his wife Linda of Deerfield, NH, her grandchildren, Petra Breidfjord Tryggvadottir, Linda Patricia, Charles Damian and Ruby Jean Harvey, three great grandchildren, Baltasar Rio, Romeo Bent, and Kate Marie, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was also the mother of the late Kate Harvey who predeceased her in 2012, and the sister of the late Thomas, James, Mary Callahan, Lucille Stewart, Robert, and Barbara Caulfield. Family and friends will gather for visiting hours on Sunday, July 8th from 3 to 6 pm in the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, Concord Center. Her funeral will take place on Monday, July 9th at 10:00 am from the Dee Funeral Home, followed by a funeral Mass at 11:00 am in Holy Family Parish, Monument Square, Concord Center. Private burial will be at St. Bernard's Cemetery in Concord. Contributions in her memory may be made to Catholic Charities of Boston, 275 West Broadway, Boston, MA 02127.
