Pasquale V. "Pat" Costa, 74, of Concord, died at home with his loving family by his side on Wednesday, January 10, 2018.
Pat was born in Cambridge on September 4, 1943, the son of the late Vincent and Mary (Mercurio) Costa. He grew up in Arlington and attended Northeastern University before going on to obtain his Masters in Electrical Engineering from MIT and his MBA from the Harvard Business School. Pat excelled in the business arena and took great pride in translating his mechanical and software conceptualizations into reality. In his 40 years of professional contributions to the innovative technology field, Pat served as president, CEO, and Chairman of the Board of a successful international business before founding his own company with two dedicated business partners and loyal friends. Pat approached his work with tenacity and was very proud of his professional accomplishments. He had a brilliant mind, and was also an accomplished pianist and talented artist.
Pat had a great appreciation for art, music, travel and nature. He enjoyed spending time outdoors and always felt a special connection with Concord where he could immerse himself in the natural beauty of the area. In recent years, he had enjoyed spending more time travelling with family.
Pat is survived by his wife Kathleen A. (Valachovic) Costa of Concord, daughter Hannah Costa and her husband Adam Webb of Scottsdale, Arizona, and daughter Jessica (Costa) Colangelo and her husband Marc and grandson Samuel Pasquale of Bolton.
Family and friends are invited to gather for visiting hours on Tuesday, January 16th from 5 to 8 pm in the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, Concord Center. His funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 17th at 10 am in Holy Family Parish, Monument Square, Concord Center. Interment will be private.
