Natale N. Arena, age 62, of Boxford, formerly of Westford, died peacefully on Monday, October 3, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband for 35 years of Theresa I. (O'Brien) Arena.
Born in Concord on November 27, 1953, he was the devoted son of the late Pat and Sophie (Salamone) Arena. He graduated from Concord-Carlisle High School in 1971.
For many years, Nat was employed as an Engineer for the Genrad Company in West Concord, and more recently for Hewlett-Packard in Chelmsford.
An avid Corvette enthusiast, he was a longtime member of the National Corvette Restoration Society (NCRS). He was also a former member of the Maynard Lodge of Elks.
While residing in Westford, he played softball with the Mustangs and was a passionate coach for Westford Youth Sports.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Michael Arena and his wife Mariann and their son Michael Patrick, Brian Arena, and Danielle Arena, his brother, Russell Arena and his wife Pamela of Littleton and their children, Kate, Rachel, and Julie, as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Funeral will be held on Saturday, October 8th at 9 am from the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, Concord Center, followed by a funeral Mass at 10 am in Holy Family Parish, Monument Square, Concord Center.
Burial will immediately follow in the family's burial plot at St. Bernard's Cemetery, Concord.
Visiting hours in the Dee Funeral Home are on Friday, October 7th from 1 to 4 and 6 to 9 pm.
