Muriel L (Monsen) Spurr In Norway, ME, formerly of Acton, MA and Concord, MA was called by our lord and God from this earth on March 8th, 2015. Born October 2nd, 1939 in Concord, MA. She is survived by her beloved husband of 52 years, Alfred E. Spurr and her daughter Jennie Mills and son in-law Paul Mills of Vernon, Vermont, Neal Spurr of Cherry Valley, MA., and Daniel Spurr of Gardner, MA. She had five grandchildren, Matthew, Cameron and Jessica Spurr of Gardner, MA and Kyle and Katelyn Spurr of Cherry Valley, MA. She is survived by her brother William N. Monsen of Acton and Sister-in law Barbara Spurr of North Conway, NH, as well as nieces and nephews, Linda J. Monsen, William S. Monsen, Robert Spurr and Pamela Scarlett. Muriel will always be remembered for her love of the birds and backyard wildlife that frequented her home in Norway. An avid gardener, she looked forward to the spring planting and surrounded her home with purple iris. Muriel had a deep fondness for the stray cat at the back door and many furry friends graced her lap over the years. A Boston sports fan and hockey mom, she enjoyed cheering for the home team. Visitation Friday, March 13th from 11 to 1, followed by a memorial service at 1 in the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford St., Concord, Mass. Interment following at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, Concord.
