Mildred M. "Millie" (Touchette) Whaley, age 72, of Carlisle, formerly of Belmont, died peacefully while sleeping at her home on Wednesday, January 9, 2019. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Michael T. Whaley.
She was born in Boston on July 25, 1946, as the daughter of the late Ernest P. and Mary (Campbell) Touchette. She attended Cambridge Schools, and graduated from St. Peter's High School in Cambridge.
She worked as a Receptionist for the Belmont Public School system, Emerson Hospital, and retired from The Beede Fitness Center in Concord. She enjoyed swimming and cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Michael, she is survived by her daughters, Dawn Petitpas and Leslie Bailey and their husbands Michael and Michael of Carlisle, her grandchildren, Stephen, Andrew, Christian, Remy, Trevor, Adrianna, Jake, and Max, one great-grandchild, Odin, three brothers, Peter, Frank, and Jim Touchette, and her sister, Joanne Briggs. She was predeceased by her son, Matthew T. Whaley and her brothers, Charlie, Joe, Jackie and sister, Esther Plett.
Family and friends are invited to gather for visiting hours on Tuesday, January 15th from 4 to 8 pm in the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, Concord Center. Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, January 16th at 8:45 am from the Dee Funeral Home, followed by a funeral Mass at 10 am in St. Irene Church, 181 East Street, Carlisle. Burial will follow at Green Cemetery in Carlisle.
