Maureen Elizabeth (Carrigan) Read, 76, formerly of Concord, MA, passed away on April 25, 2023.

Maureen is predeceased by her husband, Truman "Hank" Read, and her son, Jonathan Read. She is survived by her brother, Kevin Carrigan, her son Patrick Read and his wife Jessica Read, their three children, Olivia, Bodie, and Henry, along with a large extended family. She was the daughter of the late Philip Carrigan, Jr. and Mary "Betty" (Tobin) Carrigan, and sister to the late Eileen Powers, Philip Carrigan III and John "Jack" Carrigan.

Maureen was born and raised in Concord, Massachusetts. The eldest of five, she pursued a career in nursing and worked in the ICU at Brigham and Women's Hospital for over 40 years. It was there that she met her husband, along with innumerable friends and colleagues. A voracious reader, Maureen nearly exhausted the shelves of the Concord Public Library. She enjoyed spending time with friends and family, and her her grandchildren most of all.

Maureen will be remembered most for her strength, her wisdom, and for always being there when called upon.

Relatives and friends are invited to a memorial gathering at Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, Concord Center on Sunday, May 7th from 2 to 4 pm. A reception will immediately follow.
