Maryalice "Mimi" Sullivan Cail passed away peacefully in McLean, Virginia on February 17, 2023 at the age of 82.
Mimi grew up in Concord, Massachusetts and raised her family on Independence Road in her childhood home on "The Ridge," a place that was dear to her heart.
She attended boarding school at Newton Country Day School of the Sacred Heart in Newton, Massachusetts. She graduated from Duchesne Residence School in New York City, New York in 1960.
Throughout her life, Mimi loved fox hunting and riding side-saddle with the Old North Bridge Hunt. She will be remembered for her devout faith in God, love of fashion, lavish dinner parties and playing golf at the Concord Country Club.
Above all, Mimi was an amazing wife, mother, adoring grandmother, and the loyalist of friends.
She rests in heaven with her recently deceased and devoted husband, Dr. Allen R. Cail Sr. who was her soulmate and best friend for 63 years. She is survived by her son, Richard P. "Rip" Cail, his wife Beth, their children Emelia and Julia of Littleton, Massachusetts, her daughter, Caitlin Levanson, her husband David, their children Maxwell, Lily and Jake of McLean, Virginia, and John W. Cail, son of Mimi's predeceased son, Allen Robert Cail, Jr. of Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Mimi also leaves behind her brother Gregory T. Sullivan, his wife Susan of Harvard, Massachusetts, and brother Richard P. Sullivan of Bluemont, Virginia. Mimi is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins, all of whom she loved dearly.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate the lives of Allen and Mimi during visiting hours at the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, Concord, Massachusetts, on Friday, March 3rd from 4 to 6:30 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in Holy Family Parish, 12 Monument Square, Concord Center, on Saturday, March 4th at 10 am. Burial will follow at St. Bernard's Cemetery in Concord.
Arrangements are under the care of Dee Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Concord.
